Improving the Transportation System in Our Region

The RTP identifies several important transportation issues and needs for our region. The major issues are listed below

• Traffic congestion
• Maintenance and rehabilitation of our roads
• Regional High-Capacity Transit
• Port and Airport expansion
• Improved air quality
• Safety and security
• Insufficient transportation funding
• More travel options for the elderly and disabled
